Walleye Fishing Report on Leech Lake

The walleyes bite continues to be good and is only getting better as the warmer days arrive.  The fish are still located in shallow water, 5 to 8 feet, and the jig bite is still strong.  I have been fishing with VMC Dominator jig tipped with a shiner minnow and the VMC Moon Eye Jig tipped with a Trigger X 3 inch minnow in the "shad" color.  If you haven't given Trigger X a try I strongly encourage you to try!  It continues to impress me and it is so nice not having to dig in the bait bucket every time you get a bite.  The fish remain on any of the wind blown points and flats.  We haven't been fishing any secret spots and most of the fish we are catching are in the Goose Island Area.

Well back to getting the boat ready for fishing the next couple of days.  Below are a couple of photos from yesterdays fishing adventure with www.leisureoutdooradventures.com

We are catching several fish this size each day.
