Leech Lake Walleye Fishing Report - 4th of July Weekend

Happy Independence Day from all of us at Leisure Outdoor Adventures.  Holy buckets the past weekend was a busy one for the L.O.A. crew.  We have been greeted with great weather the past week but with that warm temperatures we have had a huge mayfly hatch.  The walleyes, well, they are putting on the pounds chowing down on all the mayflies but we are still catching lots of big walleyes each trip along with some eaters.  The main lake rocks on Leech are putting out numbers of good eater fish and the Walker Bay Area is putting out the big ones.  Depending on wind and cloud cover we have been fishing 10 feet all the way down to 22 feet.  The rig bite on crawlers and Leeches seem to be putting the most fish in the boat along with pulling a spinner and bottom bouncer.

We had several boats out over the weekend and everyone had a great time on the water.  Here are photos from my boat over the weekend.

It's truly amazing the amount of big fish we have been catching on Leech Lake.  If you would like to share a boat with one of us at Leisure Outdoor Adventures contact us at 855-LOA-HOOK or visit us at www.LeisureOutdoorAdventures.com.
